Waco: Farm and home chain opens local store

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Orscheln Farm & Home has opened its new store in Waco after purchasing the 51,903-square-foot building that formerly was home to a Gander Mountain store.

The store, the chain’s third in Texas, opened Monday.

“We are eager to meet and greet our new customers,” said District Manager David Broyles.

“We’re excited to introduce ourselves to the thriving Waco community.”

The store offers lawn and garden supplies, pet food and supplies, livestock feed and farm supplies, hardware, plumbing and electrical supplies, automotive items, toys, housewares, clothing and sporting goods including firearms.

The family owned chain based in Moberly, Mo., owns and operates more than 165 stores in 11 states including Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Illinois, Kentucky, Indian and Ohio.
