WACO, Texas (KWTX) A McLennan County grand jury has declined to indict a former Midway Independent School District employee who was arrested in March on an injury to a child charge in connection with an incident in which an 11-year-old boy was forced to the ground with a knee in his back.

Richard Harold Reasor, 69, turned himself in on March 11 after an arrest warrant was issued and was released the same day after posting a $5,000 bond.

Hewitt police obtained the warrant after investigating the incident, which was reported on Oct. 17, 2018.

Witnesses told police that the student was taken to the ground and was kept there on his stomach for 30 to 40 seconds, according to an arrest affidavit.
