WACO, Texas (KWTX) Months after the repaving project began on State Highway 84 through Woodway, a Texas Department of Transportation contractor will complete the project in the coming weeks.
Work resumed Tuesday night, TxDOT spokesman Ken Roberts said Wednesday.
Roberts said the road was winterized during the winter months because work could not be completed in the fall because of both weather and equipment issues.
The cost of the 5.7-mile-long repaving project from the South Bosque River bridge to the Franklin Avenue-Waco Drive split is costing more than $4.4 million, according to TxDOT’s online project tracker.
There will be temporary striping on the road while the project continues.
Crews should finish in about two weeks, Roberts said.
