WACO, Texas (KWTX) A new microbrewery is on tap for downtown Waco.

Waco Ale Company will open late this year or in early 2019 at 806 Austin Avenue, commercial real estate agent Hunter Harrell of HARRELL Real Estate Services announced Thursday.

“I am excited about getting this lease executed. This will be a great concept local residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy,” Hunter Harrell said in a press release Thursday.
The owner of the building, Brian Ginsburg, says he thinks the microbrewery will benefit from an increase in foot traffic downtown.
“In the past year, we have seen an increase in foot traffic in the 800-900 block of Austin Avenue, and of course the added exposure from the Downtown Trolley that passes by,” he said.

"Adding a business like Waco Ale Company, a microbrewery and bar, is great for downtown Waco. With downtown’s atmosphere of shop, dine and play, this microbrewery and bar should fit in perfectly,” Ginsburg said.
