Waco: Power out in parts of the city

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Thousands of customers were without power Monday afternoon in Waco.

Just after 3 p.m., Oncor’s online outage map showed that more than 18,000 customers had lost power.

Just before 3:30 p.m., the map showed about 3,000 without service.

Twenty minutes later, fewer than 200 were without power.

By 4:20 p.m., only several dozen customers were still without service.

The outage temporarily knocked out traffic lights on several busy Waco streets.

The outage appeared to have occurred primarily in the area of State Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 84 on the west side of the city.

The cause of the outage wasn’t immediately available.
