Firearms were taken from a number of vehicles.
Police posted a map on Facebook that shows where the break-ins are happening, and one area in particular stands out.
"The highest area we have seen car burglaries is in the West Waco area," Officer Garen Bynum said.
"West Waco is a heavily traveled area with a lot of businesses and neighborhoods," he said.
"These criminals are literally walking down the street and checking doors to see what’s unlocked," Bynum said.
"If it’s a locked car they will move on to the next one."
Police say the best thing you can do is to take all of your valuables out and lock your car every time you leave.
"If you just lock your cars, than this will prevent most of these crimes from happening," says Bynum.
