WACO, Texas (KWTX) Waco fire marshals are investigating what they described Monday as incendiary or suspicious fires that broke out in the early morning hours a day apart at the same home in the 1200 block of Pembrook Drive.

The first fire was reported at 3:45 a.m. last Thursday.

When crews arrived, they found patio furniture burning in the backyard, Fire Marshal Lt. Keith Guillory said Monday.

Twenty fours later, at 3:46 a.m. Friday, firefighters returned to the home to find a van burning in the driveway beside the house.

Remnants of blown-out window glass, pieces of metal from the mechanical parts of the vehicle, and scorched concrete were left behind.

The fire was so hot, it melted part of the siding off the house.

A pet dog awakened the resident both times.

No one was hurt.
