A team of investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office will inspect the rubble of the burned out home of prominent Waco businessman Stuart Parsons.

An investigator from the office was at the scene of the fire Tuesday, but the rubble was still too hot to sift through, authorities said Wednesday.

Investigators plan to return next week.

McLennan County Sheriff’s Capt. Steve January said the initial investigation has turned up nothing suspicious.

Parsons, the owner of Parsons Roofing and the popular BSR Cable Park, was out of town when the fire broke out at around 4:45 p.m. Monday at 597 Beaver Lake Rd.

No one else was in the home at the time and no injuries were reported.

Deputies said the home was engulfed in flames and was a total loss.

Firefighters from Leroy, West, Bellmead, and Elk responded.
