WACO, Texas (KWTX) The annual Veterans Day Parade in the city of Waco has been canceled due to the weather, the city's public information officer announced Saturday.

While the city is not the organizer of the event, officials wanted to be sure the word gets out that the parade has been canceled.

Tom Parker, President of the McLennan County Veterans' Association, his wife and many local partners have put in a huge amount of time and effort to help Waco celebrate our veterans.

Officials said it is unfortunate the weather has caused its cancellation.
