COOLIDGE, Texas (KWTX) A wanted man fought with Limestone County deputies Friday “for an extended time,” but was ultimately subdued and taken into custody.

Deputies learned at around 9:15 a.m. Friday that the man, who was not immediately identified, was at a home in Coolidge.

They and Coolidge police found the man hiding in the residence, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

“The subject resisted and fought with deputies for an extended time. Deputies were able to subdue with him with only minor injuries,” the post said.

The man was taken to Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck and then to the Limestone County Jail.
