AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A winning $2 million Powerball ticket that was purchased in College Station has gone unclaimed and the prize will revert to the state.

The deadline to claim the prize was 5 p.m. Thursday, but the winner did not come forward.

The ticket matched the five white balls drawn in the Oct. 27, 2018 drawing, but not the Powerball number.

Meanwhile a Lumberton resident who elected to remain anonymous came forward at the last minute to claim a $1 million prize from the same drawing.

The ticket, which matched five of the white ball number drawn on Oct. 27, 2018, was purchased at a store in Beaumont.
