Foul play not suspected after woman found dead in Central Texas park

Foul play isn’t suspected in the death of a 45-year-old woman whose body was found Tuesday afternoon in a park in Lampasas, authorities said Wednesday.

The woman’s name has not been released.

The woman, who apparently lived in the area, was found dead at around 2 p.m. Tuesday in a wet weather creek area of Campbell Park in Lampasas, police said.

The cause of her death wasn’t disclosed, but an autopsy was ordered.

Lampasas police and a Texas Ranger are investigating after a woman was found dead Tuesday afternoon in a local park.
