WACO, Texas (KWTX) A woman charged with aggravated robbery after a drug deal went bad pleaded guilty Tuesday rather than go to trial.

State District Court Judge Ralph Strother sentenced Crystal Gayle Dillinger to serve 24 months in state prison after he accepted her guilty plea.

Dillinger had been set for trial Tuesday, but at the last opportunity chose to enter a guilty plea to avoid trial.

An affidavit contained in Dillinger’s court file shows McLennan County deputies arrested her, along with Florencio Monreal and Cherri Faye Westerfield on Jan. 16, 2014 after the three confronted a drug dealer at a downtown Waco motel parking lot, but instead of finishing the deal, one of the three women pulled a knife and robbed the dealer.

The drug dealer was not injured.

The three suspects were indicted on April 30, 2014.
