Woman rescued from tanning bed at local salon busted for meth
A Harker Heights woman whom paramedics rescued after she got stuck in a tanning bed at a local salon was arrested following the discovery of meth inside her purse, an arrest affidavit released Thursday says.
Cierra Page, 31, remains in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond charged with possession of a controlled substance more than four ounces, but less than 200 ounces, according to online records.
She was arrested on May 11 after paramedics and police were sent to the unnamed salon in response to a report of a person stuck in a tanning bed, the affidavit says.
While in the tanning room, an officer saw “a spoon with residue on it” inside Page’s purse, the affidavit says.
The officer then said he searched the bag and “located a substance which he field tested and found to contain methamphetamine,” the affidavit says.
