Woman taken to local hospital after car slams into house
A woman who evidently had a medical emergency while at the wheel was taken to a local hospital after her car slammed into a house Monday afternoon in Temple.
“It’s believed the driver experienced a medical emergency, causing her car to hit a parked vehicle in the driveway and then the residence,” Temple Fire & Rescue spokesman Thomas Pechal said.
The accident happened at around 2 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of South 36th Street.
The woman, whose name was not released, was conscious and talking with first responders after the accident he said.
She was taken to Scott & White Medical Center.
