WOODWAY, Texas (KWTX) Around 1,200 children and parents were expected to make their way through the gates of the Carleen Bright Arboretum in Woodway Sunday afternoon to participate in the 12th annual Children’s Garden Fair.
Children who attended this free event could participate in activities like, rain-water harvesting, making paper seed cards, rock painting, and a scavenger hunt.
"It's the fact that kids are coming back year after,” said Laynie Miller, Chairman of the Fair. “They have their favorite spots that they're bringing their younger siblings and saying ‘Oh this one. We have to go to this one.’ Yeah they have a great time.”
The event also hosts a scarecrow contest with attendees getting to vote on “Best in Show”, “most creative “, and “most lifelike”.
