Woodway: Speegleville man snared in online child sex sting
A Speegleville man snared in an online child sex sting was jailed Tuesday, charged with online solicitation of a minor.
Woodway police arrested John Patrick McGaugh, 64, Monday, in the parking lot of the Richland Mall, where a meeting had been arranged with whom he thought was a 16-year-old girl.
The arrest comes after an exchange on social media of several hundred messages with an undercover officer who was impersonating the teenage girl.
McGaugh was held in lieu of $5,000 bond, according to online jail records.
