Wreck causes tractor trailer to leak jet fuel, closes multiple roads

A collision between a tractor trailer and a car Tuesday left two injured and caused the big rig to leak jet fuel.
The crash occurred just after 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of South 2nd Street and West Hallmark Avenue in Killeen.
Killeen police said the two people in the car were taken to Metroplex Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The department’s Hazmat team responded to the crash and closed several area streets including, Hallmark Avenue around 2nd Street and Florence Road south of Hallmark.
The roads were closed for less than two hours.
