2-A-DAYS: Cameron Yoe Yoemen

CAMERON, Texas (KWTX) Last year was the first district title for the Yoemen under head coach and Cameron Yoe alum Tommy Brashear.

The Yoemen went undefeated in district and went three rounds deep in the playoffs before losing by one in overtime to East Chambers who, in turn, gave state champion Grandview a run for their money.

This year the Yoemen aren't returning a lot of starters from last year's squad, but the ones that are returning are were key contributors a season ago.

Quarterback Braden Brashear returns after tossing 25 touchdowns last season. District 10 MVP, Nico Vargas returns at running back as well. Vargas was a force as he rushed for 27 touchdowns last year.

Cameron Yoe will open the season at home against Mexia.
