Baylor, Syracuse preparing for first-round matchup Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY (KWTX) The Baylor Bears will try to end a four-game losing streak Thursday night against the Syracuse Orange in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Baylor (19-13) lost to Iowa State in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, but has had plenty of rest to prepare for Syracuse (20-13).

The Orange will be playing without point guard Frank Howard, who was suspended indefinitely by Syracuse for a violation of academic policy.

Baylor and Syracuse will tip off at 8:57 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on TruTV.
