Lauren Piercy's goal in overtime gave the Baylor Lady Bears a 2-1 win over the TCU Horned Frogs in the Big 12 soccer championship game Sunday afternoon.

Piercy slipped past the TCU defense and received a pass from Aline De Lima before powering a shot off Horned Frogs goalkeeper Katie Lund and into the net.

Baylor (13-5-2) earns an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament after initially thinking they might win in regulation. Following Kennedy Brown's goal in the 69th minute, Ryan Williams tied the game late in the second half on a penalty kick for TCU.

After a scoreless first half in which Baylor outshot TCU 8-0, the Lady Bears broke through after Aline de Lima's cross found Camryn Wendlandt, who then passed to Brown to the left of the goal. The junior sent a shot to the far post, which turned into her second goal of the season.

Lady Bears goalkeeper Jennifer Wandt made two saves for Baylor, which is now 2-0 in its only Big 12 tournament championship appearances.
