Baylor WR Platt earns another year of eligibility

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Baylor wide receiver Chris Platt announced via Twitter that the NCAA granted him another year of college football eligibility.

The sixth-year senior earned a redshirt in 2014, before playing in all but one game during his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Platt was on a torrid pace in 2017, tallying 405 receiving yards and five touchdowns through four games, but missed the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury.

He appeared in 12 games in 2018, but found the end zone just once.

Baylor will now have just two departing wide receivers -- Jalen Hurd and Trevor White.
