Baylor and Texas preparing for key Big 12 showdown in Austin

WACO, Texas The Baylor Bears travel to Austin Saturday for a showdown with the Texas Longhorns. It's a big game for both and a key game in the Big 12 season.

Baylor comes into the game with a 4-2 record and off a win over Kansas State at home. That was Baylor's second win in Big 12 play and puts the Bears in a tie for 3rd in the conference.

Texas is coming off the biggest win their program has earned in years. The Longhorns beat Oklahoma Saturday to improve to 5-1 on the season and 3-0 in Big 12 play.

Saturday they meet in Austin and both teams take a lot of momentum into the showdown. There's also a lot of mutual respect. Both Matt Rhule and Tom Herman spoke Monday and talked about how much respect they have for each other and the quarterbacks and players from the opposing team.

Baylor and Texas kick off at 2:30pm Saturday.
