HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) Richard Cunningham, Nick Loftin and Davis Wendzel combined for seven hits in the Baylor Bears' 5-4 comeback win over the Texas State Bobcats Sunday.
Baylor (9-2) trailed 4-3 going into the ninth inning and was down to its final strike when Cunningham finished off a nine-pitch at-bat with a ground-rule double.
Loftin then singled to right field to tie the game and then scored on Wendzel's single to left.
Kyle Hill, who recorded the final out in the bottom of the eighth, earned his second victory of the season and pitched the final inning.
The Bears will host UT-Arlington Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
