WACO, Texas The Baylor baseball team earned a 6-3 home win over Abilene Christian at Baylor Ballpark Wednesday night.
Led by a pair of Nick Loftin home runs in the early innings, the Bears outscored the Wildcats 6-3. Loftin hit a leadoff home run for the Bears in the bottom of the first inning, then added another solo home run in the third inning to extend the Bears' lead.
Baylor got a solid outing from a number of pitchers. 6 Bears' hurlers combined to allow 3 runs and just 6 hits by the Wildcats. The Bears had 8 hits in the game but Loftin was the only Bear to have more than one hit.
Baylor will play at home this weekend against Cal Poly.
