Baylor faces Oklahoma in big weekend series

WACO, Texas The Baylor baseball team plays at home in Big 12 play this weekend as they host an Oklahoma team chasing them in the standings. The Bears currently sit atop the Big 12 standings while Oklahoma is just a couple of games back and hoping to make up ground.

For the Bears, the offense has been the key in conference play. Baylor is scoring plenty of runs and it's led to six wins in the last few weeks. It's a trend the Bears hope can continue this weekend.

Oklahoma brings a veteran and talented pitching staff to Waco for the three game series. That's the strength of their team this year and the Bears know they have to play well offensively. Both Catcher Shea Langeliers and head coach Steve Rodriguez said Thursday the Bears need to have a good approach at the plate this weekend.

The series opens at Baylor Ballpark Friday night and continues throughout the weekend.
