Baylor falls at Texas 84-72

AUSTIN, Texas The Texas Longhorns jumped ahead of Baylor early Wednesday night and rode that fast start to a win. The loss for Baylor snaps the Bears' 6-game winning streak and their 6-game winning streak against the Longhorns.

Texas used pressure defense and some hot early shooting to build an quick lead in the first half. It's a lead they would maintain throughout the rest of the night.

Baylor struggled at times. Makai Mason made only one field goal and scored just 5 points just days after scoring 40 against TCU. Mark Vital led the Bears on offense with a career high 14 points.

Texas was led by Kerwin Roach II who finished with 21 points and Matt Coleman III who finished with 18 points.
