Baylor has new look for regional in California

LOS ANGELES, California Vintage music mixed well with the loud metal bats at Baylor's first practice at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles leading up to their NCAA Regional opener with Loyola Marymount. But the throwback theme didn't stop with the songs.

ANDY THOMAS: "You know it can be made fun of when you come west and you've got bleached blonde hair so it was one of the things and the other thing is we needed something to bond over real quick and I think in the last couple of days this has been a great thing that we've bonded over."

KYLE HILL: "It's really not my style not my thing being from very, very south Texas I was the last one to hold out but I wasn't going to be that guy and so I'm a big team guy figured I'd have fun and do it and I'm glad I did it."

Magnificent manes aplenty, Baylor isn't splitting any hairs knowing they may eventually have to play the number one team in the country just to keep their season alive.

STEVE RODRIGUEZ: "There's only a certain amount of time in your life and when you're a player and you can do these things and I want them to be able to enjoy it if they feel good together as a team then that's what really matters the big thing is it's going to grow out they're going to be able to cut it and so it doesn't bother me whatsoever I tell people when it comes to hair I let people do whatever they want because I don't have it."
