Baylor falls to Iowa State

AMES, Iowa Matt Rhule's team will have to wait another week to try and become bowl eligible as the Bears lose to #22 Iowa State 28-14.

Baylor (5-5) had their opportunities in the first half but were shut out in all three of their trips to the red zone. The Bears went into halftime down 17-0.

Things became chippy in the second half as Baylor Defensive End Greg Roberts and Iowa State Running Back David Montgomery were ejected for fighting.

Baylor was able to get within 14, and were driving with 5:51 left in the game, when Baylor Quarterback Charlie Brewer was ejected after getting an unsportsmanlike penalty for arguing with an official.

By rule that was Brewer's second unsportsmanlike penalty because both teams were given unsportsmanlike penalties after the fight earlier in the game. Brewer was replaced by Jalen McClendon, who could not finish off the drive with a score.

Baylor will return home next week to take on rival TCU.
