KANSAS CITY, Missouri The Baylor men play the first game of the day on Thursday in the Big 12 Tournament when they battle Iowa State.
Baylor is the #4 seed in the tournament and Iowa State is the #5 seed. They've played two very tight games during the regular season, Baylor won both. The first was a 3-point win at home the second was a 4-point win on the road.
Now, they meet again for the third time this season. Scott Drew says one of the things that makes this third meeting so tough is the offensive firepower of Iowa State. Drew says the Cyclones have 6 players who are capable of scoring 20 or more points any night. Most teams don't have more than 3. So defending the Cyclones well is a key for Baylor to get that third win over Iowa State.
If Baylor wins they've move on to the semifinal round on Friday against either Kansas State or the winner of tonight's game between TCU and Oklahoma State.
