WACO, Texas (KWTX) Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente, who was at the center of the Memphis rebuild from 2012-15, is reportedly set to interview for the head coaching position at Baylor.
According to Yahoo! Sports reporter Pete Thamel, Fuente could be having a meeting with Baylor Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades within the next 24 hours.
Fuente, who recently finished hiring the rest of his staff at Virginia Tech, has spent the last four seasons coaching the Hokies, most recently leading them to an 8-5 record this past season.
Virginia Tech has gone to a bowl game every year in the Fuente era, sporting 10-4, 9-4 and 6-7 records in his first three seasons.
Fuente led Memphis to a 7-17 record after his first two seasons (2012-13) before 10-3 and 9-3 performances in his final two years as the Tigers' head coach.
