The Baylor Bears took the field for their first official workout of 2019 on Friday with a mixture of excitement and determination.
The Bears are coming off a very good year that included a Big 12 tournament championship run. Now, the goal for the Bears is to be even better in 2019.
Baylor is getting a lot of preseason hype. Shea Langeliers and Cody Bradford have been named to a few preseason All-America teams. Baylor as a team is nationally ranked in 5 preseason publications. The highest of those rankings is #12 in the nation.
So one of the challenges this year is to avoid buying into the hype. The Bears say that won't be an issue and Steve Rodriguez says his guys have worked too hard in the preseason to allow complacency to set in.
