Bears on the road for big series with Texas Tech

WACO, Texas The Baylor baseball team rides into Lubbock this week in first place in the Big 12 and ready to face the preseason conference favorite.

At 8-3 in Big 12 play, the Bears have a slim lead over Oklahoma State heading into this weekend series. Texas Tech is 6-6, a few games back at this point in the season. Still, the Bears know this series is huge because it's against the talented Red Raiders.

Head Coach Steve Rodriguez says he and his players know the wind will be a factor in Lubbock but they can't let that determine how games are played out. He also says he's excited to face the Red Raiders and see how the Bears do.

The series starts a day early due to the Easter holiday this week, game one is set for Thursday night.
