Big 12 announces suspensions for Kansas, Kansas State players

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) The Big 12 conference announced suspensions following the fight after the Sunflower Showdown.

The suspensions are as follows:

Kansas forward Silvio De Sousa was suspended 12 games. Forward David McCormack was suspended 2 games.

Kansas State's James Love was suspended 8 games. Freshmen forward Antonio Gordon was suspended 3 games.

“This kind of behavior cannot be tolerated and these suspensions reflect the severity of last evening’s events,” said Commissioner Bob Bowlsby. “I am appreciative of the cooperation of both institutions in resolving this matter.”
