CHILTON, Texas (KWTX) The Chilton volleyball team is in the middle of a competitive season. Their team captain is Taylor Bosse, a senior who absolutely enjoys being the Lady Pirates' outside hitter.
"Something about killing balls into the ground," Bosse said. "You get the points for the team."
She is also a Chilton cheerleader, plays basketball, tennis and runs track and cross country.
"Taylor is one of those silent leaders," Chilton coach Niecee Smith said. "She's not real vocal, but her work speaks for itself. That's on and off the court. She's the valedictorian of her class. She was also 8th grade valedictorian. She has her goals of playing at the next level, and I think she's capable of doing so."
The Tarleton State or Texas A&M hopeful is a member of the Chilton 4-H and FFA, an active volunteer with Community Food Bank, and a Junior Member of the Chilton Volunteer Fire Department. Once she graduates from Chilton, her goal is to be involved with physical therapy.
"I want to work with athletes like myself. I've been injured a lot lately. I want to help other athletes."
