Classroom Champions: Rosebud-Lott's Brady Hering

LOTT, Texas (KWTX) Brady Hering is a three-sport athlete for Rosebud-Lott High School.

The 6-foot-7 senior is in the middle of the basketball season, and wants to help the Cougars add another trophy to the case.

"(I) definitely (want to) make the playoffs in basketball and go to regionals for the third straight year in golf," Hering said.

"What I noticed about Brady is that he's always attentive and pays attention to detail," Rosebud-Lott coach Marvin Whitfield said. "Any time you tell him something out here, he retains it. He's able to recite stuff word-for-word. If I tell him something on Monday, he can come back on Thursday and almost tell it to me word for word exactly like I told him. He pays attention to detail. That's how he is, whether it's in sports or the classroom."

Brady is ranked fourth in his class and sports a 3.87 GPA. The FFA and National Honor Society member plans on attending Texas A&M after earning his high school diploma.
