Cowboys leave for training camp without Ezekiel Elliott
The Cowboys boarded a plane bound for training camp in California on Thursday but Ezekiel Elliott was not on board. Zeke's absence is noteworthy after rumors surfaced that he may hold out in hopes of getting a new contract.
Cowboys players talked about Zeke's absence upon landing in California. Travis Frederick says he's not concerned and he thinks the roster is a good one this season. Jaylon Smith reminded fans that the official start of camp is Friday and Elliott can still arrive on time despite not flying with his teammates.
Elliott is the Cowboys' leading rusher and the key guy in their offense over the last few years.
