WACO, Texas (KWTX) Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was just another fan in the stands Saturday at Waco ISD Stadium as the Highland Park Scots faced the College Station Cougars in the Region II Area Class 5A Division I high school playoff game.

But unlike the rest of the fans, Jones arrived by helicopter.
Jones’ helicopter with a large Cowboys star on the tail landed on a small patch of grass at the intersection of Bagby Avenue and New Road.
Jones sat on the visitor side, wearing a ball cap and sunglasses, surrounded by family and friends who also traveled to Waco for the matchup between two reigning state champions.
Jones’ grandson Paxton Anderson, the son of Charlotte Jones-Anderson who serves as executive vice president and chief brand officer for the Dallas Cowboys, is a wide receiver for the Highland Park Scots.
Following Highland Park’s 28-20 win over College Station, Waco ISD officials drove Jones and his family back to the helicopter for the flight home.
The Jones family won’t have to travel far for the next round.
Highland Park will take on the Mansfield Timberview Wolves Saturday at The Star in Frisco, the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys.
