BELTON, Texas The UMHB football team is a few days removed from winning a national championship, but they haven't stopped enjoying the victory yet. In fact, the euphoria may not wear off for a while.
Pete Fredenburg addressed the media one last time this season on Monday and talked about what it means to win a second national championship. Fredenburg also talked about how special it was to win that title within the state of Texas and in front of a huge UMHB crowd. A crowd that included family, friends, and a lot of alums from the Cru football program.
Fredenburg also addressed the possibility of retiring on top as a champion. He told reporters to let him enjoy this one for a while as he and his family celebrate and reflect this Christmas.
UMHB finished the season 15-0 for the second time in three years and with a second national championship for the program.
