WACO, Texas The Baylor Lady Bears have been outstanding defensively this year and that will need to continue against high scoring Iowa State if they want to get another win on Wednesday.
Baylor is among the nation's leaders in several defensive categories. They are only allowing 55 points per game while rebounding better than opponents, blocking shots better than their opponents, and allowing a lower shooting percentage than their opponents.
Iowa State is a tough team to guard, however. The Cyclones scored over 100 points last weekend and are among the highest scoring teams in the nation. They are led by Bridget Carleton who is averaging almost 20 points per game this season.
Kim Mulkey says the key Wednesday is to be ready for the Iowa State shooters. They have great range and Mulkey says knowing where Carleton is at all times will help them on the defensive end.
