First place Bears host Kansas State in Big 12 play

WACO, Texas The first place Baylor baseball team will host Kansas State this weekend in their final home series of Big 12 play this season. Game one is set for Friday with the rest of the series set for Saturday and Sunday.

The Bears are coming off a big sweep on the road at TCU. That sweep in Fort Worth puts the Bears a game and a half ahead of everyone else in the Big 12 standings.

Staying in first place this weekend could be about focus. Baylor head coach Steve Rodriguez says his guys have to focus on winning each and every game. First game one, then each game after and playing fundamentally sound baseball will help them get there.

Kansas State is a struggling team although they're better this year than they've been in some previous seasons.
