Former Baylor player says assistant coach helped him pass drug tests

Former Baylor football player Josh Gordon is still serving an NFL suspension for failing drug tests. Gordon says he passed tests while at Baylor because an assistant football coach helped him.

In a mini-documentary that includes Josh Gordon, he says he was given bottles of detox by a Baylor assistant coach while he was playing for the Bears so that he could pass drug tests and stay eligible. Gordon did not name the assistant coach that helped him.

Gordon played for Baylor between 2009 and 2011 and was an outstanding talent. His NFL career has included flashes of brilliance but most of it has been spent serving suspensions due to failed drug tests.

When contacted about the allegations, Baylor released the following statement regarding Josh Gordon: "Josh Gordon was a football student-athlete from 2009 until 2011 at which time he was suspended indefinitely and ultimately left the program."
"None of the football staff from this timeframe are currently employed by Baylor. As such, we decline to comment further."
