Former Midway, Baylor WR Stricklin retires from football

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Baylor wide receiver Devontre Stricklin has decided to retire from football.

"Pooh" played three seasons for the Bears, setting career-highs in receptions (32) and receiving yards (414) in 2017. He recorded two touchdowns as a freshman in 2016, and one touchdown in his sophomore and junior seasons.

Stricklin graduated from Midway High School in 2015 and redshirted the ensuing college football season after enrolling at Baylor as a three-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports.
