Kedrick James transferring from Alabama to SMU

BELLMEAD, Texas Former La Vega football star Kedrick James is moving on from Alabama and will finish his college football career at SMU. The former Pirate made the announcement on social media Monday.

James had an outstanding career at La Vega and had his pick of the top football programs in the nation to join. He chose Alabama after originally considering Baylor. Things have not worked out like he'd hoped at Alabama. James has been suspended once, and he's barely seen the field at all during his time with Alabama.

Now he transfers to SMU to join the Mustangs of the AAC. James will try to restart his career playing closer to home for a program that hopes to become relevant in Texas again.
