Kegler leaves Baylor men's basketball program

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Mario Kegler will not be a part of the Baylor men's basketball team during the 2019-20 season, the school announced Friday afternoon.

According to a press release, Kegler "has been indefinitely suspended from the Baylor men’s basketball program in accordance with athletics department policy. Kegler has elected to pursue a professional career and will forego his remaining collegiate eligibility. We have no further comment at this time."

Kegler, who transferred from Mississippi State, averaged 10.5 points per game during his redshirt sophomore season at Baylor. He started all 27 games he played, with his best scoring performances coming in back-to-back weeks against West Virginia (23 points) and Texas (24 points).
