Lady Bears beat No. 1 UConn on national TV

WACO, Texas The Baylor Lady Bears beat #1 UConn in the Ferrell Center Thursday night.

Hot shooting in the early portion of the game gave Baylor the early lead. Juicy Landrum, the La Vega alum, hit some early three's to set the tone for Baylor.

NaLyssa Smith was also a key to the first half, her second chance points off missed shots helped Baylor lead by a point at the half 30-29.

Baylor extended that lead in the 2nd half with the help of Kalani Brown and Lauren Cox. Baylor's outstanding post players delivered against UConn to lead the way to a 68-57 win.

The win is Baylor's first ever over a #1 ranked team.

The Lady Bears' win also ends UConn's 126 game regular season winning streak.
