Lady Bears beat Kansas State 65-50 in Big 12 play

WACO, Texas The Lady Bears improved to 2-0 in Big 12 play with a 65-50 win over Kansas State Wednesday night. A big 4th quarter helped the Lady Bears earn the home court win.

Kalani Brown led Baylor with 16 points while Juicy Landrum had 12 and Lauren Cox had 13. All three were a big part of the offense again for Baylor in a winning effort. Baylor had a mediocre shooting night and did not hit a single three in the win.

Defensively the Lady Bears were very good holding Kansas State's leading scorer Kayla Goth to only 8 points. The Lady Bears only allowed Kansas State to shoot 32 percent from the field in the game.

The win improves Baylor to 2-0 in Big 12 play. They will be on the road this coming weekend at TCU.
