Lady Bears dominate Texas with defense in 64-35 win

WACO, Texas The Baylor Lady Bears let their defense do the talking in a blowout win over Texas Monday night, 64-35.

Baylor allowed Texas just 5 points in the second quarter and only 9 in the fourth quarter as they blew open what had been a tight game in the early going. Baylor's defense allowed Texas to shoot just 20% for the game and dominated the Lady Horns after a competitive first quarter of play.

Kalani Brown had 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead 4 Lady Bears who scored in double figures. Lauren Cox had 13 points, Chloe Jackson had 12, and Juicy Landrum finished with 11 in the game.

The game was 18-16 at one point in the first half before Baylor went on a 43-10 run that spanned more than two quarters of play.

Baylor is now 26-1 with two games remaining in the regular season.
