When Baylor Point Guard Kristy Wallace went down on Monday night against West Virginia, many Baylor fans feared the worst.
And unfortunately for the third-ranked Lady Bears, those fears were realized. Head coach Kim Mulkey confirmed on Thursday that Wallace had torn her right ACL in the second quarter of the Lady Bears win over West Virginia.
Mulkey said that Wallace would have surgery in the coming weeks, and while she didn't expect the senior standout to return, she didn't completely rule it out.
Wallace was averaging 13 points for the Lady Bears to go with five rebounds per game.
