McGregor's Hering wins gold at state track and field meet

AUSTIN, Texas McGregor's Mara Hering is bringing a gold medal back home after a winning jump in the 3A girls high jump in Austin. Hering leads a group of young ladies that won medals in the first part of Friday at the state track and field meet.

Hering made the top jump Friday in the high jump to earn the first gold medal won by a Central Texan in this year's state meet.

She's not the only winner though, here's a list of other Friday medalists from Central Texas.
